Veterinary Services for a Variety of Species in Atlanta

Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough checkups and preventive care for all species can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best.

Canine, Feline and Ferret Wellness Care – These include annual physical exams and vaccinations

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services – Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.

Surgical Services – Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures.

Anesthesia – We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.

Radiology Services – Our on-site X-ray equipment provides high-quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.

Dentistry – Regular, professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet’s dental health. We use modern and safe ultrasonic cleaning procedures to clean above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Tooth extractions and minor oral surgery are performed as necessary. We also provide at-home dental care items.

Therapy by Referral – We utilize a network of veterinary professionals in order to provide specialized care when necessary.

Laboratory – We provide numerous in-house procedures. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Pharmacy – We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, flea and tick control products, heartworm preventatives, nutritional supplements and shampoos to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets. If your pet requires a medication that is not available through our in-house pharmacy, our home delivery service offers another option to meet your needs.

Individualized Flea Control Programs – We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your home, on your pet and in your environment.

Dietary Counseling – We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.

Behavioral Counseling – We can provide advice regarding the proper training and socialization of your pet. Additionally, we can provide insight regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.

Microchipping – Giving an electronic ID to each individual pet is like giving them their own passport. Small as a grain of rice, it can be implanted under the skin of most pets to provide permanent identification and improve the chances of lost animals being returned to their rightful owners.

International Pet Travel and Relocation Services – If you will be traveling with your pet, we can help. We are certified to provide health certificates for travel, whether you are going one state away or traveling internationally. Please let us know far in advance when your departure date is, and we will walk you through the process of traveling with your pet.

We also provide pain management services and DNA sexing.

After-Hours and Emergency Care – The professionals at Cobb and Cherokee Emergency Clinics are well equipped to meet your needs when we cannot.
